Marten van Buiten, LL.M., (1978) has been a lawyer since 2004. Before joining Spectrum Advocaten, he worked for Duijn Bloem Voss Advocaten in Zaanstreek for more than eight years. And before that, he worked as a paralegal and external corporate lawyer for Van der Goen Advocaten in Soest.
Marten operates a litigation as well as a consultancy practice and mostly works for small and medium-sized enterprises. He specialises in business, contract and liability law and, more in particular, in property law (including tenancy, construction and administrative law). Marten followed various extension courses in these areas of law. In 2017, he successfully completed the Property Law specialist training programme at Grotius Academy. Marten is a member of the Association of Property Lawyers.
As an accessible point of contact, Marten is always there for all his clients. He immediately gets to the root of the problem and solves it in the most efficient way, without judicial intervention as much as possible, but he does not shy away from conducting proceedings if necessary. His clients highly appreciate his persistence and creativity.
In addition to the legal profession, Marten is very dedicated and active on an administrative, organisational and social level. For instance, he worked as a volunteer at the legal advice centre in Baarn, was chairman of the Haarlem Young Bar Association and has, for years now, been a member of the Zaanstreek Round Table, Table 72.
